About Haifa

Come to Haifa - The northern port city, with its breathtaking city and sea views, is about an hour and a half drive from Ben Gurion international airport.

Come for the beaches - set on the slopes of Mount Carmel, facing beautiful beaches on the Mediterranean Sea.

Come for the culture, the history – the Bahai Gardens, (a UNESCO site which has earned the name "The Eighth Wonder of the World"), and the small museums - the museum of Japanese art,  Haifa City Museum, and Science and Technology Museums, to mention a few.

Come for the cool – the trendy street art on Masada Street, the Carmelit (the world's shortest subway system), and the Haifa cable car.

Come for the views, and wander the picturesque German Colony, Louis Promenade, and Carmel Park.

Come for religion – visit Stella Maris Carmelite Monastery (believed to be one of the oldest, dating back to 1290 AD), Wadi Nisnas (a "village" in the heart of the city, with its old, Arabic style, stone homes, narrow alleys, and colorful market), Elijah's Cave (where the Prophet was believed to live), Mahmood Mosque (holy site of the Ahmadiyya sect).

Come for the coexistence - known across Israel for its mixed population of Jews and Arabs, resulting in unique, and delicious, fusions of Arabic and Jewish cultures across the city.
