Submission Options

Please see as follows some explanation on how you can present at Psychedelic Medicine – Israel 2023:

 

1) Thematic Symposia

These will be formal scientific sessions and will consist of the following:

- 2.5 hour session

- 4 speakers

- Each speaker allocated up to 25 minutes plus 5 minutes for questions

- 1 Chair, 1 Co-Chair

 

Submission:

  • The chair will submit the proposal via the conference online system including the name of the symposium, the names and affiliations of the speakers, their proposed topics and the name and affiliation of the proposed co-chair. 

  • If the symposium is accepted, the speakers will need to submit abstracts of their presentations for publication in the conference program.

 

2) Salons 

These will be informal sessions that can be discussion groups led by two moderators, informal presentations and discussion of scientific data around a central topic or debates between proponents of different viewpoints followed by a discussion. Other content can be proposed. Salons will consist of the following:

- 2 hour sessions

- Two moderators

- Number of participants/presenters not preset

 

Submission:

  • The proposer (who should be one of the moderators) submits the proposal with the name and affiliation of the second moderator, the names and affiliations of the additional participants, the name of the Salon and a brief explanation of the content of the Salon.

  • If the salon is accepted, the moderators will submit an abstract of the Salon for publication in the conference program; there will not be individual abstracts of the participants.

 

3) Full or Half Day Courses and Workshops

 

On the day before the conference opens, it will be possible to hold full or half day courses or workshops relevant to psychedelic medicine. Participation in these courses or workshops will incur a fee additional to the conference registration fee.  

 

Submission:

  • The organizer of the course or workshop will submit the title of the course or workshop, a brief description of the content and the names and affiliations of the proposed faculty

  • If the course or workshop is accepted, the organizers will submit a course or worshop description and a list of the faculty and their topics for publication in the conference program.

 

4) Mini-Courses and Workshops

During the conference it will be possible to hold mini-courses and workshops lasting 1.5 hours that are relevant to psychedelic medicine. Participation in these mini-courses and workshops will be included in the registration fee.

Submission:

  • The organizer of the mini-course or workshop will submit the title of the course or workshop, a brief description of the content and the names and affiliations of the proposed faculty

  • If the mini-course or workshop is accepted, the organizers will submit a mini-course or workshop description and a list of the faculty and their topics for publication in the conference program.

 

5) Posters

Individual participants can submit abstracts for poster presentations to the ISPC

  • Only registered participants will be able present posters at the conference

  • Posters will be presented in person at thematically organized poster sessions. 

  • Posters will be available for viewing the whole day of the poster session in which they are included

  • Selected posters will be chosen for oral presentation in special Hot Topic and Data Blitz sessions. Presenters will indicate their interest in being considered for these sessions at the time of submitting their poster abstract and will be informed of the decision of the ISPC before the conference. The Hot Topic and Data Blitz oral sessions will be in addition to presentation at the poster session

 

Important information regarding Thematic Symposia, Salons, Courses and Workshops (Full Day and Mini)

  • The proposer should attest that all the suggested participants have agreed to participate and are aware that they will need to pay the conference registration fee and their travel and hotel costs. 

  • Along with scientific interest, diversity of the participants from a personal and geographical perspective will be a key criterion for acceptance. Thematic Symposia

  • Salons, Courses and Workshops cannot have more than one speaker from the same institution.

  • Diversity of the program will be a consideration in choosing symposia
