FLIGHTS TO ISRAEL
Direct flights exist from most major airports in North America, Europe, India, China, Thailand and Africa, by El Al Israel Airlines as well as by other international carriers. It is recommended to book your international air travel to/from Ben Gurion International Airport (Tel Aviv) with your local travel agent and/or on the internet.
TRANSPORTATION FROM BEN GURION INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT TO THE CARMEL, HAIFA
By private taxi
The distance between Ben Gurion International Airport and the Dan Carmel Hotel, Haifa, is approximately 110 kilometers, a drive of about 1 and a half hours depending on traffic. Taxis can be found outside the Arrivals Hall at Ben Gurion Airport (Level G). Taxis cost approximately 600 Shekels (US$ 175).
By shared taxi
"Amal Taxi Company" provides shared shuttle transportation from Ben-Gurion Airport to Haifa. The cost for the shuttle is approximately 100 Shekels (US$ 29) per person.
There is often a waiting time as the shuttle will only depart the airport once it is full. Passengers should advise the driver the name of the hotel that they need to be dropped off at.
Amal shuttles can be found outside of the Arrivals Hall (Level G).

BY TRAIN FROM BEN GURION AIRPORT AND TEL AVIV TO HAIFA:
From Ben Gurion Airport
The train station in Ben Gurion Airport is located on Level S. Tickets may be purchased through automated dispensers on Level G. A one way fare is approximately 40 Shekels (US$ 12) and the journey takes approximately one hour and fifteen minutes. Passengers may disembark at Haifa - Hof HaKarmel Station. From here it is a 10 minute taxi drive to the Dan Carmel Hotel at a cost of approximately 45 Shekels (US$ 13.50).
From Tel Aviv
Passengers traveling from Tel Aviv should disembark at Haifa - Hof HaKarmel Station. From here it is a 10 minute taxi drive to the Dan Carmel Hotel at a cost of approximately 45 Shekels (US$ 13.50).
